Are you ready to talk? Maybe you want to know more about me…

My motto: Follow your heart and Fear walk!

I am an American counseling psychologist now living in the Netherlands. I have my PhD from Kent State University in Kent, Ohio. I have been teaching psychology courses as an assistant professor for 13+ years before I decided to switch to counseling. My passion is for learning and helping others.

My motto above is what got me through life: ‘Fear walking’ is my term for doing new things. I want to forever fear walk to learn and grow! I can teach you how too! I also think it is important to ‘Follow your heart’ in the sense of being who you are and how you show love to yourself and others. Your words and actions to others make up your character. Who are you and who do you want to be? I want to help you find your path, especially if you are feeling stuck!

Why Christie Lee Psychology? Well, as an Expat myself I know what it is life to have to adjust to BIG life changes. It is hard enough to find a good counselor in my own country, let alone a whole new one…so I want to be able to provide American-style counseling services in English to those who need it here in the Netherlands.

A modern approach: Illuminate, Embrace, Transform, and Balance

I love dragonflies. Not just because I find them pretty, but because of what they symbolize. The dragonfly signifies a path to a new world. They are about transformation and a change in perspective, energy, potential, maturity, depth of character, power, and poise. The dragonfly navigates with elegance and grace. The beauty of light shining through the iridescence of the dragonfly’s wings reminds us to let our own light be illuminated. We can be the light to help others see. They remind us that anything is possible. This served as my inspiration for myself and to help others.

I also love the ocean and sea as maybe you have noticed with the backgrounds. This is usually where I find my calm and balance. I would love to help you find your inspiration too!
